Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Y. Essential in fulfilling our promise to strengthen community, Y volunteers help us innovate to provide relevant responses to the communities’ ever changing needs. They strengthen our leadership by serving on our boards. They build our capacity to serve by leading our annual and capital campaigns. They transform lives by serving as leaders in Y facilities and out in the community.

2022 Changemaker Awards

This award recognizes youth volunteers who have made a positive impact by implementing the Y mission within their community. Award recipients advance our cause in youth development, healthy living, or social responsibility by devoting time, demonstrating leadership, and personally modeling the Y core values. The youth honored this year stood out among their peers as exceptional community leaders.

2022 Distinguished Service Awards

This award honors adults who have deeply impacted the lives of youth, adults, or families through significant volunteer leadership. Recipients of this award have supported the Y vision and mission over several years and have personally modeled the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. The leadership of this year’s honorees has greatly contributed to advancing our impact in youth development, healthy living, or social responsibility.
