As the current public health situation evolves, we are continually evaluating how we can best serve your needs and keep our community healthy. We are also closely monitoring and implementing all new guidance from the Public Health Department and The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
We have a large member base across Silicon Valley that depends on our Y as an important part of their healthy living routine. To keep all of our members healthy, we respectfully ask that anyone considered high risk by the CDC refrain from visiting our facilities. For those able to continue visiting our Y, we are committed to ensuring that our facilities are safe and sanitary, with heightened cleaning and disinfecting protocols, and intentional social distancing.
Our wellness centers remain open, with cardio and strength training equipment, and our pools will remain open for lap swimming. At this time, we are pausing our programs for youth and older adults, who are at greater risk. This includes pausing the operation of Kids Club and youth classes. For adult classes, we are limiting class size and modifying offerings to meet demand. For up to date schedules, visit our website or download the YFit App.
For our members who want to exercise at home, virtual classes are now available. Try these out, have some fun, and watch for more coming soon. Remember, regular exercise can help reduce stress and prevent illness.
As a reminder, please do not come to the Y if you feel ill or if you have been in contact with someone who is ill. And remain vigilant about prevention:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
- Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
- Stay active, drink lots of water and get plenty of sleep
Thank you for being a valued Y member.
