#ByTheNumbers is a reflection on the Y’s impact over the past year, and a standard to meet and exceed as we continue to strengthen our community. The Y was founded on the principal of serving the most significant community needs, and this year was no exception. Though unquestionably a challenging year, with the support and effort our neighbors, donors, and partners the Y emerged stronger. Kid, families and seniors were fed nutritious meals, essential workers received childcare support, youth studying at home stayed on track with distance learning support, and Y staff were able to emotionally and physically support the most vulnerable, lonely, members of our community. As winter approaches, and the temperature drops, it can be hard to find the motivation and energy to workout outdoors. The California cold may not be arctic in nature, but in many cases, it can still be a deterrent to an outdoor workout.
